San Antonio Spurs v Oklahoma City Thunder - Game Four

Longtime Spurs power forward Tim Duncan will re-sign with the only team he’s known, San Antonio, on Wednesday, according to a report on the NBA’s website.

The deal is reported to be for three years and being worth $34 million. All three years are guaranteed and the third year is a player’s option. In addition, Duncan will receive a no-trade clause as part of the deal.

Wednesday is the first day free agents can sign contracts.

The decision by Duncan to return to San Antonio is no surprise. The two-time MVP Duncan, after being drafted by the Spurs with the first overall pick in the 1997 draft, has played his whole career there. Together, he and the Spurs have won four titles.
