“Drew and Mike,” a Detroit radio program, will be replaced on WRIF-FM later this month, it was reported.

The duo, which began the morning radio show nearly 20 years ago, will be replaced by “Dave and Chuck the Freak,” according to Crain’s Detroit Business on Wednesday.

Drew Lane and Mike Clark started their show in 1994, but Lane left the show for two years, starting in 2007. The show was frequently the top-rated program during the morning hours.

The final broadcast of “Drew and Mike” is slated for May 17, reported WDIV Channel 4.

“We would like to thank Drew, Mike, Trudi and the entire team for their many contributions to the station over the years in the Motor City,” Greater Media Detroit Market Manager Steve Chessare told Channel 4. “They are true professionals and we are very grateful to them.”

On Wednesday, Clark and Lane did not really discuss reports of their departure. “If there’s a time to procrastinate, it’s now,” Clark suggested, according to the Detroit Free Press.
