NEW YORK—Oak Hill Academy’s Doron Lamb (No. 21 Rivals, No. 29 ESPNU) by way of New York City has announced his decision for the University of Kentucky during the Jordan Brand Classic on Saturday at Madison Square Garden.

“I love the coaching staff,” Lamb said. “I think next year we’re going to be a team to beat.”

The 6-foot-4-inch, 175-pound shooting guard originally from New York had been weighing his choices between Arizona, Connecticut, Kansas, Kentucky, and West Virginia.

His coach Steve Smith said earlier in the week, “I think he kind of favors Kentucky and Kansas right now.”

Between then and now, the scales somehow tipped toward the Wildcats.
