The 50 state winners for Doodle 4 Google were announced by the company this week.

Now the public votes for which doodle should win the ultimate prize.

“Young artists coast to coast doodled their inventions to make the world a better place. Doodle 4 Google guest judges have chosen the 50 state winners. Now it’s your turn to vote!” said the company.

“The winner’s doodle will appear on the Google.com homepage and he or she will receive a $30,000 scholarship and a $50,000 Google for Education technology grant for his or her school. Help us choose the winner - cast your votes for each grade group now.”

The public vote closes on May 9 and the final awards celebration will be held on May 21.

The winning doodle will be displayed on Google’s homepage on June 9.
