Indiana University is taking homeland security to a new level with its upcoming documentary, Tough Decisions: Defending the Homeland.
Featuring Indiana University students, the film gives a behind-the-scenes look at a simulation of terrorism in Indiana’s capital city, Indianapolis.
The university is calling the documentary “groundbreaking.” It chronicles the minute-by-minute response of university students who role play government and civilian officials as they try to deal with sometimes faulty or incomplete information during an unfolding terrorist attack.
It was produced in partnership with the university’s School of Law-Indianapolis, at Indiana Uninversity-Purdue University, Indianapolis, and the IU School of Public and Environmental Affairs. The documentary aired Jan. 21 on Indianapolis’s WFYI 1.
