Denise Borino-Quinn, the actress who played The Sopranos mafia wife, died on Oct. 27 due to complications from liver cancer, according to People magazine on Monday.
The Farmer Funeral Home in Roseland, New Jersey, confirmed her death.
Before she got her start on The Sopranos, Borino-Quinn worked as a legal secretary and a manicurist in New Jersey.
She was surprised when selected among thousands of others at a casting session in 2000. She played the role of Johnny Sack’s wife, Ginny.
“I totally freaked out!” she said on a Sopranos fan site. “My father must have called all our relatives that night! To this day I still can’t believe this happened to me.”
Borino-Quinn was born in Roseland, New Jersey, and attended West Essex High School. She died at age 46.
