For the notebooks fans on the fence about getting a tablet, Dell has introduced a new lineup of its XPS computers, which includes the XPS Duo 12—bringing the power of an Ultrabook to a full-featured tablet.

The notebook-tablet has a flip hinge touchscreen display. This means you can use it like a regular notebook, or you can flip back the keyboard and use it like a tablet.

It also has a full HD screen with almost double the pixels found in a standard HD display, which results in an “exceptionally crisp reading and photo and video viewing experience,” according to a Dell press release.

It also has strong glass, thanks to its Corning Gorilla Glass screen, and the body is built from tough machined aluminum and carbon fiber.

The XPS lineup includes a medley of computers tailored to specific needs of customers, and each is rather different from the next. Alongside the XPS Duo 12, Dell also recently unveiled the the XPS 10 and the XPS One 27.

The XPS 10 features a long battery life, mobile keyboard dock, and intuitive touch capability. The XPS One 27 has high quality sound thanks to its Infinity Premium speakers and Waves MaxxAudio 4 audio technology, a very high screen resolution—according to Dell, “twice the pixel density of any other 27-inch AIO PC”—and is designed for creative professionals.

The new notebooks, “represent the culmination of a deep understanding of the ”Bring Your Own Device“ movement and insights gained from both our consumer and business customers,” said Sam Burd, global vice president, PC product group at Dell, in the press release.

“The new set of products Dell unveiled today represents a milestone in our design and approach to user experience. Our vision for our XPS line of computers is not just about the device or technology, it’s about achieving the perfect balance of amazing design, end user productivity and IT enablement,” Burd said.
