A top official is contradicting President Joe Biden on the border crisis. Biden said the border surge is normal for this time of year, but the official says what we’re seeing now is “unprecedented.” This comes as the Biden administration is being sued by a border state attorney general once again. The Arizona attorney general is filing a lawsuit over what he calls President Biden’s “harmful” immigration orders, and he’s asking a court to make those orders void.
The Biden administration is considering sending cash to Central American countries to help reduce economic problems—which is one of the major motivations for their citizens to leave for the United States. House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy fired back, criticizing Biden’s plans. He said, “President Biden wants to try and buy our way out of his border crisis with taxpayer money. The administration is spending $60 million a week, and now wants to launch a cash transfer program in Central America.” He said it insults the millions of Americans who are out of work right now.
