Two men and two dogs were rescued from the overflowing Los Angeles River in LA’s Cypress Park on Friday.

Heavy rains over the past few days has caused flooding in some areas in Southern California.

The men and dogs were in the middle of an island in the middle of the LA River.

Rescuers were sent in to make the rescue after 9 a.m. local time near Elm Street, Fox Los Angeles reported, citing Los Angeles police Officer Rosario Herrera.

They were rescued about an hour later.

No injuries were reported, the LA Fire Department said.
