Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey returns to Fox on Sunday night with episode 4, titled “A Sky Full of Ghosts.”

In it, host Neil deGrasse Tyson sets off on the Ship of the Imagination to explore how light, time and gravity alter our perception of the universe.

Travel back in time to 1809, when astronomer William Herschel (guest voice Patrick Stewart, “Star Trek: The Next Generation”) observes how light plays tricks with time and gravity.

Later, Tyson embarks on an exhilarating journey to the event horizon of a black hole.

Julian Ovenden (“Downton Abbey”) also guest voices in the episode.

Season 1 is scheduled for 13 episodes.

The show airs at 9 p.m. ET.
