A suspected gunman was shot at Columbus State University on Sunday after someone called police and said that they saw someone wit a gun at the student apartments.

The gunman didn’t shoot anybody but was seen loading a gun.

Police shot and wounded the gunman after a brief chase.

The suspect was transported to The Medical Center, reported WSB-TV.

“This is a terrible tragedy,” CSU President Tim Mescon said. “We will cooperate fully with the investigation by GBI. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved in this, as well as their families.”
