House Majority Whip Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.) has changed his tune on voter ID, saying he supports voter ID requirements for voting, contradicting previous comments and a key Democrat talking point that voter ID requirements are a form of “voter suppression.”
In an October 2020 Twitter post, Clyburn said voter ID is a form of voter suppression but in a July 4 CNN interview with “State of the Union” on Sunday, Clyburn claimed, “We are always for voter ID.”
