This image shows a detailed view of spiral galaxy NGC 2841 in the northern constellation of Ursa Major, 46 million light-years away.
NGC 2841 has an overall diameter of more than 150,000 light-years, making it bigger than our Milky Way galaxy.
Captured by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope, the image encompasses the galaxy’s inner region, spanning approximately 34,000 light-years.
The galaxy has a distinct yellowish nucleus and galactic disk, and dusty spiral arms studded with young blue star clusters and pink star-forming areas.
Stellar winds and explosions have created plumes of hot gas, forming a halo around the galaxy, as seen in X-ray images.
