HONG KONG—Day-4 of the UK Sailmakers Summer Saturday Series took place last Saturday, July 25 with two geometric races inside Port Shelter with 11-IRC, 8-HKPN, 5-Sportsboats and 6-Dragons taking part.
With just two more races in the series to sail, on Saturday 8 August, performances in the last two races will be important in all divisions to decide the top three places.
Assuming at least one of the last two races takes place, allowing a 2nd discard, “Stella” and “Lighthorse” are locked together on 7-points at the top of the IRC Division with “Moll” lying second on 14-points. The gap between “Moll” and the next boat, “Talkinghead” on 22 should be sufficient for “Moll” to take 3rd place.
In HKPN “Kiasu” has performed consistently well in this series and is leading with 8-points.She is expected to continue current form to take 1st place, but there is still likely to be a tussle between “Jazz” (15), “Bits & Pieces” (19) and “Ichiban” (19) for the next two places.
