Chrysler filed for an initial public offering (IPO) on Monday, according to reports.

CNBC reported that the Detroit-based firm made the filing, but offered few details.

JPMorgan Chase was listed as the underwriter for the regulatory filing, the report said.

There was no proposed price or final offering amount.

Previous reports this month said that the firm was moving towards filing the IPO by the end of the month.
