Christopher Adam Tang , who posted a video on YouTube showing him doing a lap around Manhattan in 24 minutes, was arrested on Thursday night.
Tang is allegedly the driver who posted a now-viral video showing a car speeding around Manhattan.
The lap was simple, the driver told Jalopnik, which initially publicized the video.
“I was always in control,” the driver said. “In fact, this wasn’t the first time I broke the record. I can do it consistently under 24 minutes and most likely beat my own record again.”
New York Police Department officers arrested Tang and charged him with reckless endangerment, reckless driving, traffic device violation, moved from lane unsafely, following too close, and speeding, reported WABC.
The driver in the video below says he started at 116th St. on the FDR heading downtown, went up the Henry Hudson Highway, and back down to 116th Street in just 24 minutes.
