Seven people were killed and another 47 people were wounded, including an 8-year-old girl, in shootings across Chicago between Friday evening and Sunday evening, Chicago Police said.

The latest homicides took place on Sunday afternoon—within 20 minutes of each other. At 4:30 p.m. in Gage Park, an armed assailant walked up to a 35-year-old man in the hallway of a house and shot the victim in the left leg. The victim, who was not identified, was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was later pronounced dead. Police said that witnesses were uncooperative in the investigation, NBC Chicago reported, adding that no suspect was arrested.

At 4:12 p.m., two individuals walked up to an elderly man in West Garfield Park and opened fire, hitting him in the abdomen and chest. Police said he died at Stroger Hospital, NBC reported. Other details were not released.
