Cheryl Burke does have a boyfriend, JT Torregiani.
Burke confirmed last month that she and Torregiani are seeing each other.
“He’s been super supportive and I couldn’t ask for anyone better,” the Dancing With the Stars pro told People magazine.
“He was so happy for me. He’s so nurturing and supportive. We are attached at the hip right now. We’re in the phase where we constantly want to be together.”
Torregiani previously dated Paula Abdul.
“It became too hard to maintain the relationship,” says Torregiani’s rep told People previously. “They remain best of friends.”
Burke has actually known Torregiani for about a decade.
“We used to hang out in the same circle and just connected over the summer,” she said.
“It’s been really hard over the last few years to find someone who really appreciates what I do, and also still has his own business, his own life. It’s been a match made in heaven! It’s changed me. I’ve been a lot happier as a person.”
Torregiani, 39, was pegged previously as a candidate to be The Bachelor but those talks never came to fruition because he’s so buzy.
The entrepreneur owns Warwick and Aventine Hollywood. His profile in Dolce Group, in which he’s a partner, says that he became involved in the restaurant and hospitality industry in the early nineties when, while attending college, he worked with Ole Madrid to spearhead a dining resurgence to the restaurant in San Diego’s famous Gaslamp district.
“After moving to Los Angeles in 2000, JT became a fixture on the Hollywood dining and nightlife scenes, hosting celebrities at various venues throughout the city and working with them during the day as a fitness advisor. He became an investor in a handful of venues and soon became a prominent businessman upon teaming up on an executive level with The Dolce Group,” it said.
Torregiani says that he and Burke have actually been dating for quite a while--posting on Instagram just five days ago (October 8) that they were celebrating their one year anniversary.
Despite Burke saying that she’s happy, cheating rumors have surfaced regarding her and “DWTS” partner Antonio Sabato Jr.
But Sabato is married and the rumors are unconfirmed and seem doubtful. Rumors start about most of the couples on the show but are rarely correct.
