Relatives of a Canadian woman say they are hoping test results will reveal why she died at a rainforest retreat in Peru.
Jennifer Logan of Saskatoon, who was 32, died at the retreat outside the city of Puerto Maldonado on Jan. 17.
Her family says she had a reaction after drinking some tea during a ceremony with a shaman.
They say the drink was not ayahuasca (eye-oh-was-ka), a hallucinogenic tea that has reportedly caused the deaths of several tourists in recent years.
Logan was taken by motorcycle and boat to a hospital but doctors could not revive her.
Her family says police officers investigating the death seized the cup she was drinking and the jug the tea was poured from.
