Brian O'Conner, Paul Walker’s character, will not be killed in “Fast & Furious 7.”

Instead of dying, O'Conner, a former undercover police officer, will retire from being part of Dominic Toretto’s gang, sources told the Hollywood Reporter.

It has been known for a while that O‘Conner would be in the movie despite Walker’s sudden death, but it was unclear whether the script re-writing would include O’Conner’s death.

About half of the scenes that O'Conner was slated to be in were filmed before Walker died on November 30.

There are plans for more “Fast & Furious” films after the seventh installment, as the franchise has become increasingly popular over the years.
