A man claimed he had an explosive device at the Bradley Airport in Connecticut, according to preliminary reports on Monday. Police checked the airport and said it was clear shortly after.

David Owens with the Hartford Courant tweeted the news, saying the Bradley airport terminal was evacuated.

“Man had a ticket for a US Airways flight. His baggage is being double checked,” Owens wrote.

He added that operations resumed, and Garrett Allison with Fox Connecticut wrote that the “scene [is] clear” at the airport. He posted a photo of what appears to be normal traffic.

Police are now questioning a man from Charlotte, North Carolina, over the incident.

“Airport Operations says normal flight operations have resumed; state police have resolved incident with man claiming he has bomb,” Owens later wrote at around 4 p.m. EST.

He later tweeted that the man was taken into custody and will face several charges
