NEW YORK—Perjorham Perssom, 41, who hails from Sweden and works for Sony Mobile, had been wandering around Macy’s historic flagship store at Herald Square for two hours.
It is the first time Perssom’s gone shopping for Black Friday, which he coincidentally was in town for with his three friends.
“I expected more deals,” Perssom said.
By noon on Friday, the store was far less crowded and stocked than when they opened their doors Thursday evening at 6 p.m. The store estimated 15,000 visitors yesterday.
Perssom said he was looking for a pair of Asics running shoes, a new model, but they don’t have size 11.5.
