The Big Bang Theory season 8 premiere date is nearing and new spoilers have been coming out recently.
The latest information concerns Raj and Emily.
“When the sitcom returns, they will still be boyfriend and girlfriend. And Raj will still be on cloud nine,” reported TV Line.
“He’s very much in the giddy, ‘OK, I have a girlfriend and she’s really cute and she likes me phase. And I get to see her naked,’” said showrunner Steve Molaro.
“They are still in the honeymoon of that. And as we got through the season, we will explore more of her personality and what she’s really like.”
Meanwhile, Mayim Bialik (Amy) recently shared about what to expect in the upcoming season.
“I think it’s going to be a great opportunity to have some of that playfulness, and shifting roles in our dynamic,” Bialik said, referring to the new job situation with Penny.
“I’m told that there is an opportunity for us to poke fun at her for being too studious when she’s preparing for the new job in a couple of episodes and that will be really funny.”
And she told ET Online that the second episode, which is airing right after the first one on September 22, will feature Amy “trying to put Penny and Bernadette against each other so that I can benefit from both of their friendships.”
Bialik also gave insight into the Amy-Sheldon relationship.
“I think taking it slow is something that is really really sweet, and I think the Amy and Sheldon relationship really proves that there is someone for everyone,” she said. “There are really no rules for how quickly or reasonably a relationship should progress and I'd like to see more of that.”
And she appreciates how slow the relationship is going.
I think it’s really great that we can break some of those boundaries of what people think relationships are supposed to be—especially on television,“ she said. ”Name me another couple that has been this committed and intimate without having sex, I think it’s something that is really sweet.”
