August Alsina hasn’t died, but a bogus rumor is going around saying he’s dead. He’s alive and well.

The origin of the bunk report is from fake news site NewsBuzzDaily, which has an article titled, “Rest in Peace August Alsina,” and it shows a photo of him in the hospital. A few months ago, Alsina was hospitalized for a few days after collapsing on stage, but he was released. On Twitter, the bunk report took a life of its own, with users simply tweeting “RIP August Alsina” and making claims that he died.

NewsBuzzDaily’s disclaimer says it is a “combination of real shocking news and satire news,” whatever that’s supposed to mean. It shouldn’t be taken seriously as a news source.
