An arcus cloud was filmed in skies over Amarillo, Texas, last week.
The cloud appears as a horizontal tube that stretches for miles.
Roll clouds are a type of arcus cloud that is formed by the outflow of cold air from a rainless front.
Another type of arcus cloud is a shelf cloud that forms near thunderstorms and are associated with moist and warm air.
According to the Beaumont Enterprise, the video was captured by Todd Mask in Timbercreek Canyon.
Mask described the cloud as like an “ocean wave rolling in. It was a horizontal vortex that extended horizon to horizon.”
