Apple announced the latest iPhone 4 features at the company’s five day WWDC 2010 Monday, attracting attention from the global technological community. The iPhone 4 sports new Gyroscope technology along with a clearer Retina Display that has plethora of consumers awaiting the upcoming release date of the new phone.

Steve Jobs took center stage at the company’s WWDC 2010 event to unveil the much anticipated iPhone 4. Following Job’s speech at the WWDC 2010 was an update to Apple’s website giving a full break down of the new smartphone.

The iPhone 4 is made with aluminosilicate glass which is usually featured on windshields for helicopters, and is strengthened by a stainless steel band around the edge of the phone. Not only is the new iPhone 4 stronger, it is also now the thinnest smartphone on the market, according to Apple.

The phone is powered by a A4 Processor which allows users to run multiple complex programs simultaneously. It also carries the power needed to facilitate the multi-touch technology featured on the phone setting a new standard for the world of cell phone design.

The Retina Display screen features a 960-by-640 backlit LCD display that carries a record setting 326 pixels per inch making it the highest pixel-concentrated portable screen on the market.

The updated Gyroscope technology increases the possibilities for motion sensor applications that can be utilized by a multitude of modern video games, adapted or built for the iPhone. The Gyroscope technology utilizes a three part internal axis that sense changes in the phone position which could come in handy for a game that involves steering a car, plane, or spaceship.

The iPhone 4 also has a new location for the camera on the front of the phone making it easy for webcam chatting. In fact, there are two cameras, one focusing on the subject in the foreground (i.e. a person making a video call) and a second one focusing on the background. The two foci are interchangeable by tapping a button. With integrated Facetime software, video calling is made simple between iPhone 4 handsets.

The camera can create HD Video as well as 5 megapixel photos. It is equipped with a LED flash.

All of Apple’s popular applications will be accessible with the new iPhone 4 and a multitude of new applications will be introduced after the phone is released to the public.

The Apple iPhone 4 will not be released until June 24th. Preorders can be made as soon as June 15th and a reminder for preordering can be set up on Apple’s company website to ensure that one does not forget about the upcoming release.
