Anna Paquin married True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer on Saturday in Malibu, according to a report in People magazine.
The two tied the knot underneath a tent on the beach in the evening as the sun was setting on the horizon. Among the guests were co-star Carrie Preston and True Blood creator Alan Ball.
Paquin, 28, and Moyer, 40, met while working on the set of the popular HBO vampire series and got engaged last year. True Blood is based on the best-selling Southern Vamipire Mysteries series of novels by Charlaine Harris.
Paquin won an Academy Award at the age of 11 for a supporting role in The Piano (1993).
In the series, Anna Paquin plays a Southern U.S. state waitress named Sookie Stackhouse, who falls for Moyer, who plays vampire Bill Compton. The series is set in a fictional town called Bon Temps in the state of Louisiana.
“It’s great to have the freedom to enjoy your work and not feel like you’re leaving your other life behind,” Paquin told People of the couple’s relationship. “It’s a pretty sweet setup.”
