Android 5.1 Lollipop keeps popping up on devices around the world ahead of its yet-to-be specified release date, presumably this month.

A few weeks ago, users discovered the OS on a phone in Indonesia. Now, Android Geeks is saying it has found a screenshot showing 5.1 Lollipop running on Motorola’s Moto G.

It points to Google Plus user Damian Junior, who posted screenshots.

“Today my friend, who works at Motorola, sent me these photos in the morning and said they are already testing the update 5.1.0 for the XT1033,” Junior wrote. He added that he “already received your smartphone with android 5.1.0 of the company, it practically confirms that Motorola will update the Moto G (first generation) and his superiors to 5.1.0.”

Junior added that his friend asked him to post it on his Google Plus page so the company he works for doesn’t find out.

As Android Geeks notes, the first-generation Moto X hasn’t received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

Last month, an HTC executive confirmed that Android 5.1 Lollipop would be coming out sometime in March, but he did not specify when.

And last month, users spotted 5.1 Lollipop on the Android One website in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, another report from TechRadar says Google Nexus devices could see the 5.1 Lollipop update as early “as Friday.”

“The incremental Android update is expected to fix some of Lollipop’s biggest problems, including bugs related to settings and UI, plus general performance improvements,” it says. “Last year we heard that 5.1 might arrive in February, but with the month come and gone and most Android phones still on 5.0 or below we’re expecting to see it in March.”
