Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson danced pretty good for the second week straight on Dancing With the Stars.
They went sixth, dancing the Samba to “Gettin' Jiggy Wit It” by Will Smith.
“You’re great, you’re going to make everything look wonderful because you have the Alfonso groove,” judge Julianne Hough said after the dance, but she added that she wants to see “the Latin and the ballroom groove.”
“Your performance is astonishing,” judge Bruno Tonioli said, but also said that things needed to bee a little sharper.
“The goal is always to learn from what they have,” Alfonso said after getting the feedback from the judges, “they have a lot of knowledge, and my partner has a lot of knowledge.”
The team got 32/40. “I made a lot of mistakes,” Alfonso said. “That was the dance, that was the score.”
He urged viewers to vote for him and Witney so they wouldn’t get eliminated.
Alfonso and Witney set a high bar in week 1, getting the highest score and easily surviving the elimination.
Based on their first two performances, the team should go far and definitely have a chance at winning season 19.
