Al Geiberger ‘59’ Clubs: Golfer Al Geiberger is reportedly selling the clubs he used to shoot a 59 during the PGA Tour in 1977.

Golf Digest reported that Geiberger is auctioning off a large amount of memorabilia, including the clubs. He shot 59 at the at the Danny Thomas Memphis Classic, the first time it had been done.

“Rather than have my most important memorabilia from my golf career gather dust in storage,” he said, according to the publication. “I have decided to share it with the world. Green Jacket Auctions is now looking for bidders to find a cherished home for some of my most significant artifacts. A good home is important to me.”

On Green Jacket Auctions’ website, the clubs had a bid of more than $4,100, and the 1966 PGA Tour trophy he won had a current bid of $15,859.

His championship medal from the same year had a bid of more than $6,100.

A number of other items were selling in the thousands of dollars and hundreds of dollars.
