Adam Kokesh, a pro-gun activist, was ordered to be held without bond in Washington D.C. for openly carrying around a shotgun in the U.S. Capitol.

According to WTOP, Kokesh was carrying the gun in the Freedom Plaza was part of a stunt and was political theater, his attorney said.

The stunt was filmed and posted on YouTube last week.

“We will not obey. We will not allow our government to destroy our humanity. We are ... the final American revolution,” Kokesh said in the video.

As he made the statements, he held a shotgun and loaded it.

“See you next independence day,” he said. The video was uploaded on July 4.

The presiding judge wasn’t convinced the video was a hoax.

“I consider your client to be a very dangerous man,” the judge said of Kokesh. “This is not a political statement.”

The video said that his “open-carry march” in Washington, D.C. was a “success.”

Kokesh was arrested and charged with drug offenses earlier this month.
