‘50 Shades of Grey’ Star Dakota Johnson Bans Her Parents From Seeing the Film

|Updated:

Dakota Johnson’s highly anticipated role in the film adaptation of “50 Shades of Grey” should make her famous parents Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson proud, but the 24-year-old has banned her parents from watching the movie.

Johnson, who plays Anastasia Steele in the film, reportedly told her parents: “You guys cannot come see the movie. There’s no way.”

In an earlier interview with US Elle, however, Johnson said that what helped her shoot the racy scenes with co-star Jamie Dornan, was her pride.

“I don’t have any problem doing anything. The secret is I have no shame,” she told the magazine.

Although Griffith said she will be respecting her daughter’s wishes, she also said she visited the set when they were shooting the more PG-rated scenes, and has seen the “Room of Pain.”

“50 Shades of Grey” will come out in theaters nationwide on February 14, 2015.
