UTICA, N.Y.—Authorities say four central New York teenagers have been charged with attempted murder and kidnapping in connection with the abduction and shooting of a 20-year-old man earlier this week.
The Utica Police Department says the young men—two 17-year-olds and two 19-year-olds—shot and wounded a man Monday on a street in the city. Officials say he had been taken at gunpoint and was shot several times when he attempted to flee.
Police say the victim was treated at a hospital and released.
Three of the teens are from Utica. The fourth is from nearby Yorkville.
