A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck Oklahoma Friday morning, and it was felt across the state and parts of Arkansas.
The U.S. Geological Survey confirmed the earthquake, which was felt just before 9 a.m. local time.
It occurred at 8:47 a.m. north of Stroud and was about six miles deep.
A smaller, 3.8-magnitude earthquake was felt at 9:04 a.m. in the same area. Minutes later, a 3.7 hit the area again.
According to KOCO, officials say 15 4.0-magnitude or greater quakes hit Oklahoma in 2016.
KOCO reported that a number of callers said they felt it as far away as Arkansas.
