101 students kicked off flight, along with eight chaperones.
NEW YORK--They were flying from New York to Atlanta for a senior trip. The students and chaperones were from the Yeshiva of Flatbush school, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The students were misbehaving before the flight took off, prompting the flight crew to kick them all off the flight.
But the school doesn’t believe the action was fair.
“Preliminarily, it does not appear that the action taken by the flight crew was justified,” School Executive Director Seth Linfield said in a statement.
A teacher told Fox News that the flight crew also acted out of line. “It blew out of proportion. It was a mountain out of a molehill,” said teacher Marian Wielgus, one of the chaperones.
Southwest Airlines said that a group of “non-compliant” passengers wouldn’t stay in their seats, while part of the group was using mobile devices after being asked not to.
