Just ahead of Ronaldinho at 7th place is Mesut Ozil. The Germany midfielder surged in popularity on Facebook after joining Arsenal and now has 20.4 million likes.

At 6 is Andres Iniesta, with 20.5 million people following the Spain, Barcelona midfielder.
#5. Wayne Rooney
At 5 is Wayne Rooney. The Manchester United striker has almost 22 million fans on Facebook(21.7 million), roughly equivalent to a third of the UK population.

At 4 is Neymar. The Brazilian star is gaining 30,000 new likes a day during the World Cup, with his total now at 28.8 million.

Just ahead of Neymar is his fellow Brazilian Kaka. The AC Milan midfielder remains hugely popular on Social Media with almost 30 million likes(29.3 million).
#2. Lionel Messi
Way ahead in 2nd place though with almost double the number of Kaka’s fans is of course, Lionel Messi. The Argentinian star has a massive 59.9 million likes on Facebook.
#1. Christiano Ronaldo
But at #1 is Christiano Ronaldo, with a staggering 87.6 million likes. That’s ten times the population of his native Portugal and more than three times his followers on Twitter, making him easily the most popular footballer on Facebook.
