A dust storm is rolling through Arizona on August 20, including entering the Phoenix area.

A blowing dust advisory, along with an excessive heat warning, was in effect for the Phoenix area but expired at 8 p.m. MDT.

However, wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour and visibility as low as two miles will likely be over parts of the Phoenix metro through 9 p.m., according to the local National Weather Service bureau

Temperature highs were running up to 114 degrees Fahrenheit with very warm weather overnight, and a low of 85 degrees.
