Apple will debut a larger phone later this year, it was reported.

Two variations of the  iPhone 6 will both have larger screens than previous iPhones.

One of the models will have a screen larger than 4.5 inches measured diagonally, while the other version will have a display bigger than five inches, people familiar with Apple’s plans told the Wall Street Journal.

The previous biggest screen size for iPhones was four inches.

Both new models are expected to feature metal casings, as opposed to the cheap plastic on the iPhone 5C.

Contrary to reported rumors, neither of the models will have curved screens, the people said.

Apple’s plans aren’t final and could change at anytime, they added.

Specific or even general release dates for the new models haven’t been pinpointed.
