Mashable, the social media guide, reported on Wednesday that AOL has sold its social-networking site Bebo, to an undisclosed private equity firm.
The price is reportedly between $3 million and $30 million, which is a far cry from the $850 million AOL paid in 2008 for the website during the height of the social-networking boom.
But now, Facebook seems to have taken over the market and AOL’s Bebo acquisition has been deemed a flop by analysts.
