OSLO, Norway—Large-scale demonstrations in favour of Gaza took place in Oslo, Norway, on Jan. 9.
Thousands of protesters gathered several in front of the parliament building and Israeli embassy in downtown Oslo, demonstrating against Israel’s bombing in Gaza.
Protesters held posters saying “give Palestine freedom” or “stop the massacre in Gaza.” Some protesters threw eggs and stones at police; six policemen were injured.
The Oslo police force later decided to expel the protesters with tear gas. More than six protesters have been arrested so far, their ages from 15 to 25.
