Anthony Weiner, a New York mayoral hopeful, fielded questions on BuzzFeed--mostly about his most recent sex scandal.

The media coverage, he said, “has been fairly brutal.”

BuzzFeed’s Ben Smith asked him if he is in therapy, and Weiner responded that he “still see[s] a therapist from time to time.”

Regarding the 2011 scandal that cost him his Congressional job, Weiner said that it was appropriate for him to step down.

Smith brought up Eliot Spitzer, who is running in New York’s comptroller race, but Weiner said, “I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about the comptroller’s race.”

When Smith pressed him about his relationship with comedian Jon Steward, Weiner quipped, “You can do this or show videos of cats.”

Weiner also said that New York City media has mostly covered Weiner’s scandals rather than issues facing the city.
