A playable Angry Birds cake A father in the U.K. recently created a birthday cake for his son with an "Angry Birds" theme.

The cake is playable and was captured in a YouTube video, which details the painstaking construction the father put into the cake. The video, as of Tuesday, had more than 1.2 million views.

With the cake, players can shoot icing-covered birds at chocolate pillars in green frosting, a real-life simulation of the hugely-successful mobile app game.

According to Electricpig.co.uk, Mike Cooper, who is one of the writers at the blog, built the cake. The cake is for his son, Ben, who is now 6.

Rovio, the game’s developer, sent out a tweet that said “very cool! Might be the first playable 'Angry Birds' cake ever.”

Cooper said that he has, in the past, built “increasingly ridiculous birthday cakes” for his kids.

“I thought I’d have a shot at making him a playable 'Angry Birds' birthday cake with working catapult and iced birds as ammunition,” he blogged.

Cooper said the cake took 10 hours to make, but only two minutes to destroy.
