To celebrate winning his Oscar award for “Life of Pi,” director Ang Lee was photographed eating an In-n-Out burger, which went viral soon after.

The photo, which shows Lee taking a hearty bite out of a burger while walking outside with his award in hand, was shared heavily on Twitter over the past two days. The Taiwanese-born director was also dressed in what appears to be an expensive tuxedo.

During his Oscar acceptance speech on Sunday night at the 85th Academy Awards in Hollywood, Lee said: “Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you, movie god. I really need to share this with all 3,000. Everybody who worked with me on Life of Pi. I want to thank you for … I really want to thank you for believing in this story and share this incredible journey with me.”

He added: “I cannot make this movie without the help of Taiwan. We shot there. I want to thank everybody there helped us. Especially the city of Tai Chong. My Indian crew, I love you. My Canadian crew, I love you” Lee said, also thanking his wife ahead of their 30th wedding anniversary this summer.”

After his Oscar win, Lee told the Wall Street Journal he was exhausted after taking pictures.

“I’m a little tired. Holding this and taking photos for hours. The whole place seems to be very happy when I win. And they stood up and there were cheers. So that was very touching, you know?” he said.
