Android KitKat 4.4.3 Update: Download Now Finally Available for Google Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10

The Android 4.4.3 KitKat update is finally getting rolled out after months of waiting by users.

The download is officially available via T-Mobile’s support pages.

According to T-Mobile, the update was pushed on to the Google Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10 on June 2.

The update includes security enhancements and various bug fixes. Tech Radar notes that the main change for the 4.4.3 update will fix the battery drain that happens when the device uses the battery’s camera. There’s also a new dialer app, which looks more like Gmail.

If you want to download and install the software, then take the following steps:

1. Tap All Apps on the home screen.
2. Tap Settings
3. Tap About Device
4. Tap Software Update
If you’re not connected to Wi-Fi, you may receive a prompt to connect; if Wi-Fi isn’t available, tap OK
If the update is not available, you will receive the message The device is up-to-date. If you receive this message, please wait for your device to receive the update via OTA.
5. Follow on-screen prompts
6. Wait as device restarts and updates to the updated version

To check the software version, follow these steps:

1. Tap All Apps on the home screen.
2. Tap System.
3. Scroll down to SYSTEM, then tap About Tablet
4. Read the version on the device and check it below. 

KTU84L -- Your software is up to date. There are no updates available. This document will be updated if and when new software is available.

KOT49H, KRT16S, JSS15J -- Your device can update to software version KTU84L. Review the Requirements to update below. Beginning June 2 through June 9, you may be prompted to update automatically (OTA). To manually update after June 9, see how to download the update below. If the update fails, contact customer care.

Other versions -- Your device has non-T-Mobile software, and it is unsupported. The manufacturer and T-Mobile cannot update your software.
