Falun Gong does not subjectively engage in politics
Turning a blind eye to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) tyranny’s persecution against Falun Gong, some Chinese intellectuals at home and abroad who think highly of themselves have remained silent to this day. When defending their own silence, a favorite rhetoric is: “we do not participate in politics”; “we are impartial to both the Communist Party and Falun Gong, because they are both engaged in politics.”The Chinese Embassy in Australia once issued a statement denouncing the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party as “anti-Chinese articles” and alleging that Falun Gong was an “anti-Chinese political reactionary organization”. However, this allegation is an insult to the truth.
From the “Politics in Command” theory of the Mao Zedong’s era to the “Emphasis on Politics” movement of Jiang Zemin’s time, they have consistently used state terrorism to indoctrinate the Chinese people that engaging in politics is a prerogative of the Communist Party. The history of the Communist Party has consistently demonstrated to the people that politics involves waves after waves of ideological purge and political persecutions, which desecrate humanity, destroy culture, slaughter innocent lives, poison the collective conscience, and deprive human rights. The Communist Party has transformed politics into an arena of bloodiness, conspiracies and barbarism. Politics has become evil itself. In this sense, the general Chinese public, including Falun Gong practitioners, have been deprived of the right to “engage in politics”. Just as being political is the prerogative of the Communist Party, so is being evil.
Faced with political persecution like tsunamis and earthquakes in scale and ferocity, against shameless slander, arrests, torture, and murder, Falun Gong practitioners upheld their belief with iron resilience and steadfastness. Their peaceful resistance against this reign of terror is testament that faith can overcome tyranny. In their continuous efforts to expose the evils of CCP’s regime to the world, they are sowing the seeds of freedom of belief.
In recent years, Falun Gong’s statements and actions has demonstrated that they are not only safeguarding their own right to freedom of belief, but also pursuing the basic human rights for those other groups that are persecuted by state terror. History has recorded that in the latter years of the so-called Jiang Zemin era, Falun Gong practitioners became the main pillar that upheld and defended human rights in China. Perhaps history will remember a lot more.
The laws of the Heaven are clear! The laws of the Heaven are just! Is there a need to say out loud what is right and wrong?
Falun Gong is not a political organization. It is a cultivation practice. Falun Gong has not engaged in politics. This is because, to this day, Falun Gong practitioners’ beliefs and actions have clearly shown: they have no interest in state power; they are simply informing humankind of the evils of the CCP regime. They have no interest in state power; they are simply looking for a space that will allow them the freedom to believe.
Some self-righteous intellectuals claim: “We do not engage in politics. Between the CCP and Falun Gong, we do not support or oppose either of them.” When I hear such statements I always feel deeply mortified and ashamed. I’m ashamed of how far the intellectuals have fallen. Such statements are hypocritical. Hidden underneath the hypocrisy are their cowardice, servility, selfishness and lack of courage and righteous spirit to advocate for justice. I want to ask these sanctimonious intellectuals: if you witness a band of thugs brutally abuse the weak and innocent, would you still claim: “we do not support or oppose either of them, because we are impartial”?
At this point, I would like to say to those scholars who do not agree with the beliefs of Falun Gong: let’s reflect on those timeless words of Voltaire – “I don’t agree with you what you say, but I’ll defend to the death your right to say it.” If we put these words into action, we will be respected in history. Please do not forget – when we enter into old age, our children and grandchildren may look into our eyes and ask: “During that brutal and colossal political persecution, what did you do? Did you shamefully remain silent?”
The Chinese Embassy labeled the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party as “anti-Chinese articles” and Falun Gong as an “anti-Chinese organization”. The Communist Party equates itself to the Chinese people, which is utterly shameless. No single political organization can compare itself to the Chinese people who are the inheritor of 5,000 years of civilization. For the betrayals and mutilations they have committed against the Chinese people, the CCP should eternally kneel in front of the headstones of the Chinese ancestors to repent for its crimes.
After they betrayed the spirit of Chinese culture to Marxism, a German’s theory built on hatred and violence; after their stupidity and cruelty starved tens of millions of peasants to death; after they persecuted and murdered millions of intellectuals; after they slaughtered millions of Tibetans who stood firmly by their beliefs; after they instigated Pol Pot to kill millions of Cambodian people—including countless ethnic Chinese; after they impoverished hundreds of millions of peasants as third-class citizens for over half a century; after they drove tens of millions of unemployed and migrant workers into poverty; after they brought about endless social tragedies and human disasters; after they bred a class of corrupted and degenerated officials unmatched in history; after they surrendered the society’s wealth to an alliance of corrupted powers and organized crimes; after all this and having injured the Chinese people so grievously, the Communist Party still dares to equate itself to the Chinese people, are they not utterly shameless?
History and truth have prevailed over propaganda and lies. It is clear that the Communist Party, particularly its band of bureaucrats, are the disgrace of China, the criminals against the Chinese nation and the source of all evil.
Courageously exposing the CCP’s evil crimes is the deepest and most sincere love for the Chinese nation. Only by putting an end to the CCP’s tyrannical rule can the Chinese people be truly saved. Bury the CCP tyranny and wash away a century of humiliation suffered by China.
Falun Gong movement’s objective impact on Chinese politics
Subjectively speaking, Falun Gong has no desire to engage in politics. However, objectively the resistance to persecution by the spiritual practitioners of Falun Gong has had a profound effect on Chinese politics, which has mainly manifested in the following aspects:(1) It has become one of the factors to lead Chinese history out of the shadow of the CCP’s state terrorism.
(2) The most important vehicle for the CCP to maintain its totalitarian rule is state violence, which causes widespread fear among the people, and in turn, destroys the people’s will to defy its control. In 1989, the CCP regime unleashed hundreds of thousands of troops and left Beijing in a bloodbath, executed the horrific “Tiananmen Square Massacre”. Then CCP leader Deng Xiaoping and his ‘political elites’ even threatened to “kill 200,000 people to ensure stability for 20 years”. It shrouded China in a bloody atmosphere of state terrorism.
After the Tiananmen Square Massacre, there were attempts by Beijing’s liberal intellectuals to break through the state terror. Such attempts included the “Tidal Wave of the History”, the Olympic Hotel Anti-leftist Conference of over a hundred Liberal Intellectuals, establishing the “Labor Rights Protection Alliance,” collecting signature petitions to “Support Freedom Painter Yan Zhengxue under Police Persecution”. Despite the above, the majority of the people were living in fear after the massacre in Beijing.
On April 25, 1999, to protest against the defamation of Falun Gong by the CCP propaganda machine and an academic closely linked to Jiang Zemin, over ten thousand Falun Gong practitioners went to Beijing to appeal. They peacefully practiced meditation around the CCP’s Central Government compound Zhongnanhai, and showed devotion to their belief in “Truth, Compassion and Tolerance”. This large scale protest by the spiritual practitioners of Falun Gong demonstrated courage and valor powered by faith, which far outshone CCP’s iron fist. It shattered the dark fear that had oppressed the Chinese people since the Tiananmen Square Massacre. From then on, public uprisings to “safeguard human rights and fight against tyranny” spreading like wildfire across the East Asian continent. Today, they are numbered in the hundreds of thousands each year in China.
The above facts have shown that in their resistance against persecution, the spiritual practitioners of Falun Gong have been instrumental—in fact they deserve the highest honor for it, in leading the Chinese nation out of the widespread terror since the Tiananmen Square Massacre and into an era of prevalent protests against the tyranny.
(3) Falun Gong’s efforts to oppose the persecution and clarify the truth have exposed the evil nature of CCP’s totalitarian rule, quickened the political awakening of the Chinese public.
After the Tiananmen Square Massacre, the CCP relied on its mouthpieces to cover up its unforgivable crimes against humanity, deceive the international community and consolidate its autocratic control. Their puppets included scholars they had trained and pampered, writers directly associated with the ruling class, as well as some international “sinologists” and “China experts” on their payroll. From all sorts of angles, they fabricated a series of lies about CCP’s upcoming political reforms and spread the delusion that “economic reforms” will lead to China’s democratization. These lies and delusions, to a great extent, hindered the Chinese people’s resolve to rise up and battle against the CCP’s tyranny. In addition, a class of pseudo-liberal intellectuals such as Liu Xiaobo followed the American and European appeasement politicians, promoted the idea of compromising with the CCP and claimed that both the CCP’s autocratic system and China’s human rights situations were gradually improving. This also greatly aided the CCP in camouflaging its evil nature.
Under such a complex background, Falun Gong’s spiritual practitioners sustained their anti-persecution and truth-clarification activities, day in and day out for over a decade. They thoroughly and effectively exposed the CCP’s evil nature, which repudiates history, humankind, society, human nature and the Chinese culture. Like the grand Chinese music of ancient times, the truth came out thundering and awakening. Falun Gong practitioners’ campaigns allowed more and more Chinese people to realize that “only without the CCP, there will be a new China”. This is a great political awakening, and it has laid the essential ideological foundation for a democratic revolution in contemporary China.
(4) Falun Gong practitioners initiated a modern-day spiritual uprising amongst the Chinese people – quitting their memberships from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
The CCP regime is a group of criminals who have perpetrated innumerable crimes against humanity against people of various ethnic origins across the East Asian continent. It is the most shameless and the largest group of corrupt officials in human history. It is a political mafia that controls its people through secret police and surveillance. By using the Communist Party culture from the West, the CCP destroyed the Chinese people’s civilized homeland and spiritual birthplace. They are China’s most vicious traitor throughout its millennia of history.
From the history of the CCP’s reign over the East Asian continent, we can draw the following conclusions: the CCP tyranny is the source of all evil; contemporary Chinese people are the political slaves under the Marxist control and have lost their cultural roots; a “Chinese Dream” that truly belongs to the people would be to abolish the CCP regime and create a free and democratic federal China.
Conclusion
Subjectively, Falun Gong does not engage in politics, but objectively it has had a political impact on advancing China’s democratization. One may say its outcome is serendipitous.In its colossal persecution against Falun Gong, the CCP regime rapidly evolved into the darkest form of despotism, namly, political mafia dominated by spies and secret police.
After the CCP’s 18th Congress, Mao Zedong’s “Old Red Guards” (the equivalent of the SS Corps of Nazi Party), a group of anti-human criminals, had full control of CCP’s powers. Consequently, China entered into its darkest period in its millennia of history. However, as the CCP’s tyranny evolved into its most vile and cruel form, it also heralded the demise of its anti-human and anti-social reign. “A new China without the CCP”, a “Chinese Dream” that belongs to the people will inevitably become a magnificent reality.
