Amos Patton has been charged after shooting at three National Guard officers just outside a naval base in Tennessee.

Patton, 42, was being disciplined at the time of the shooting, according to the FBI.

Patton allegedly went out to his vehicle and returned with a fanny pack, from which he pulled the gun and shot at the three officers, hitting two of them, reported the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

Patton was charged on Friday with assault of federal property and carrying and using a firearm during a federal crime of violence, according to WMC-TV.

He’s being held without bond; the bond hearing is set for next Wednesday.

The injured soldiers were identified as Major William Crawford and Sergeant Major Ricky McKenzie.

The shootings happened right near the Millington Naval Base in Tennessee.
