The National Museum of the American Indian was placed on lockdown on Saturday afternoon following an apparent death in the lobby.
WTOP reported that a person may have died. But later reports said that a person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A large number of police cruisers and fire trucks were on the scene.
