A wedding dress that took hundreds of hours to create won’t ever be worn.

The dress is more than 6 feet tall and weighs more than 150 pounds. Upon first glance, it looks like any ordinary bridal gown.

However, it’s really just an elaborate cake.

Cake sculptor Sylvia Elba has described her creation as the first “weddible” dress. She worked on the gown cake with Yvette Marner, founder of Fun N Funky Cakes, and artist Ilinka Rnic, reported the Mirror.

The team spent more than 300 hours to create it.

The Weddible Dress, as it is called, will be on show at Cake International London, between April 16 and April 17, according to the Metro.

Cake International elaborates:

The lifesize edible dress, plus accessories is being created from fondant, cake lace and wafer paper which will be “sewn” and fabricated with Fabriliquid.

The mannequin is 170cm tall and the dress core circumference is 220cm. To make the ruffles for the dress they will use approximately 1-2000 sheets of wafer paper, 10 bottles of Fabriliquid, 30-35kg of fondant and 3 kg of cake lace.
