Amanda Knox got a new boyfriend not too long after being cleared in 2011 of the murder of British student Meredith Kercher (the guilty verdict was later upheld by a higher court).
Knox and James Terrano, 27, began appearing together in winter 2011. The pair, along with Terrano’s older brother William, were friends before Knox went to Italy in 2007.
Knox and Terrano reportedly share an apartment in Seattle’s Chinatown that runs them about $1,500 a month, although Terrano says on his website that he lives and works out of Seattle’s Central District.
Terrano’s website describes him as a guitarist, composer, and teacher.
“In 2005 he moved to Seattle from NYC and earned a degree in classical guitar performance under Michael Partington from the University of Washington,” it says. “He has studied with a number of world class musicians such as Eduardo Fernandez, Judicaël Perroy, Marcin Dylla, and Duo Melis, among others.”

Terrano says that he offers classical and electric guitar lessons for all levels and all ages. He also offers to creature original scores or consult on projects, or perform at private or public engagements.
He tells people to call a number on the website seven days a week between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. for business inquiries, or to email him at any time.
His website includes anonymous quotes that describe Terrano as a “rare composer” that “has a stubbornly individual style that is derived from an astounding assortment of influences.”
Before moving to Seattle, Terrano graduated from the Bronx High School of Science.
Terrano told INSIDE EDITION in 2007, following Knox’s arrest, that “she’s been a fantastic friend.”
“She always wants to be there for me and help me out,” he added.
“She loves music. I definitely gave her a few guitar lessons in the past. She loves to sing. She’s got a great voice. We recorded a few songs together.”
Terrano said that he was sure that Knox is innocent.
