Japan-based air carrier, All Nippon Airways (ANA), has been handed a fine of $73 million after pleading guilty to criminal charges of fixing air transit prices, the Department of Justice announced Nov 1.

ANA is charged with a two-count felony for conspiracy to fix cargo prices between 2000 and 2006, and conspiracy to fix unpublished passenger fares on tickets to the United States between 2000 and 2004.

The charges are the latest in an ongoing investigation by the Justice Department, which has brought charges against 19 airlines and 14 executives and levied $1.6 billion worth of fines.
